Hunt SAAP

$6600 SOUTH AFRICA EASTERN CAPE 6-DAY
ALL FREE-RANGE SAFARI INCLUDES:
ROUND-TRIP AIRFARE AND TROPHY FEES
KUDU, MOUNTAIN REEDBUCK, BUSHBUCK,
IMPALA, DUIKER, WARTHOG AND BABOON
This safari is strictly free-range, not your normal high fence South Africa operation.  Priced right with the opportunity to take quality animals and this includes taxes and licenses.

This operator has 2 main conservancies.  His southern area known as the Baviaans River and the Stormberg Mountains consists of over 400,000 acres.  This area is known for producing monster Vaal Rhebok and various other plainsgame.  In his northern area in the KwaZulu  Natal Province, known as the Umkomaas, he has 250,000 acres.  This area has 3 different types of spiral horned antelope as well as plainsgame.  This operation has taken kudu up to 64 inches, bushbuck over 18 inches and vaal rhebok just under 10 inches.  Trophy quality is exceptional.

Accommodations vary from a lodge in the Stormberg Mountains to the more traditional tent camp on the banks of the Umkomaas  River in southern KwaZulu Natal.  Bowhunters are welcome and hunting methods include walk and stalk during morning hours, while blind sitting in the afternoons.

They also offer day trips for non-hunters at $350 per guide and this includes a vehicle and the cost can be split amongst passengers.  These are exclusively for your group, no mixed parties.  Close by are national parks, Big-5 game reserves and they also have a house on the Indian Ocean for your pleasure.  These are malaria free areas.

Hunters fly from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth or Durban, depending on camp destination and you are able to hunt both camps with a 6-hour drive between them.

Price is $350 per day guided 1x1 or $280 2x1 and observers are $150 plus 14% tax on day rates.

HCU EXCLUSIVE-6 DAYS 7 NIGHTS PACKAGE $6600 2X1 OR $6900 1X1 INCLUDES ROUNDTRIP AIRFARE TO PORT ELIZABETH AND TROPHY FEES ON KUDU, MOUNTAIN REEDBUCK, BUSHBUCK, IMPALA, DUIKER, WARTHOG AND BABOON.  With airfare prices subject to change we have allocated $2,100 towards airfare and at the time of printing are accurate from most U.S. gateway cities.  If the actual cost is less you get a rebate and if it is higher you pick up the difference.  Hunt SAAP.

A couple more photos of the main camp

Alaina and Allen with Alaina’s mountain reedbuck.

Allen has hunted Africa several times and wanted to take a nice free-range red hartebeest on this hunt.

Bushbuck are quite a trophy and Allen was happy to take this one.

Alaina took this mature impala.

Hunters and guides glassing some high desert country.

Alaina was also able to take this very inexpensive cull kudu bull.

The Hendersons also spent a day at the Addo Elephant Park, about a 2 hour drive south.
