HIGH SCORING PRONGHORNS ON NEW MEXICO MEGA RANCH
This outfitter has over 600,000 private-acres to take a very limited amount of hunters.  The main ranch totals 500,000 acres and gets 38 permits, but he only takes 15 hunters on it keeping quality very high.  2009 was a tougher year than normal with a very low amount of rainfall and an extremely hot summer that burned up most of the vegetation causing poor horn growth.  The best buck taken only scored 84 gross Boone and Crockett points.  On a normal year they take close to 10 bucks scoring in the 80’s.

He offers 2 hunts, August 20 to 23 for 3 days guided 2x1 is $3,000 and September 13 and 14 for 2 days is $2,800.  Price includes landowner voucher, no draw, meals and hunters pay for their own motel in Santa Rosa at about $40 per night.  Hunters fly into Albuquerque or Amarillo and rent a car.
