MANITOBA BLACK BEAR HUNT
SPRING OR FALL
CONTINUES 100% OPPORTUNITY
This hunt continues to be 100% opportunity.  Last spring land-based hunts went 8 for 11 with the 3 best bears weighing in at 275 pounds and half had skulls of 18 inches or better.  The 3 unsuccessful hunters wounded 3 bears and passed on several more. His fly-in based hunt went 8 for 10, including 4 over 400 pounds and a 350.  Several made Pope and Young.  Land-based fall hunts went 6 for 7, including a couple boars weighing well over 300 pounds.

In 2010 spring land-based hunts went 8 for 10, with the top bears weighing 275 pounds.  Of the two unsuccessful hunters one wounded a bear and the other longbow hunter missed.  He also took 6 hunters on a fly-in based hunt and they went 6 for 6, taking a couple 300 pound bears.  Fall hunts went 6 for 7, with the unsuccessful hunter crippling a bear.

6-day lodge hunts are $2,700 plus 5% tax, $320 license and airport pickup in Winnipeg is included.  Fly-in based hunts require a minimum party of 3 and are $3,500 plus tax and license. Spring hunts are mid-May into June and fall dates are early September.  HCU’s Bob Wodzisz has been in these camps.  Very limited openings, call for availability.
