Here is an inexpensive bear hunt that includes fishing
along with a very high opportunity rate to take a bear. Over the course
of last spring his 60 hunters had 162 bear sightings and 42 were
harvested.
In 2011 his spring bear hunt was outstanding. They had 30 hunters score on 27 bears and only one hunter did not see a bear. Best bear taken weighed just over 300 pounds.
Spring of 2010 he had close to 50 bear hunters and they bagged 33 bears. 7 bears were wounded, 3 missed and 2 hunters did not see a bear. 107 bears were seen from stands and one bowhunter saw 13.
5-day hunt takes place in May and early June, no
Sunday hunting. Permanent tree stands 12 to 14 feet high are setup for
both gun and bow hunters. They also have numerous ground blinds that
offer more comfort with longer shots.
