Hunt BR505

YACHT HUNT CONTINUES 100%
ON BOARS OVER 9-FOOT
This hunt has been nothing short of amazing.  The outfitter was awarded these very limited brown bear permits 3 years ago in an area that had not been hunted for brownies.  Since that time he has gone 100% success on boars measuring 9 to 10-foot with skulls measuring from 25 inches to just shy of 29.

Spring of 2011 he took 2 hunters on the first hunt collecting 2 boars and 3 on the second hunt that were also successful.  Two of the bears will make the prestigious Boone and Crockett record book.

In 2010 he had 4 hunters take 4 big bears, all over 9-foot and one just shy of 10-foot.  Skull sizes ran from just over 26 inches to just shy of 29.  In 2009 he had 3 hunters all taking nice boars, 2 squared out at 9 and a half foot with 27 and 26-inch skulls and the third bear went over 9-foot with a 25-inch skull.

This outfitter is no new comer to Prince William Sound, an area that he has hunted black bear and mountain goats for several years.  He operates off a nice 50-foot yacht with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.

Hunting will take place while cruising shorelines of various islands in the sound.  10-day spring hunts are $20,000 and black bear can be taken on a $3,000 trophy fee.  Spring hunts are May 6 to 16 and 16 to 26.  Hunters are picked up in Valdez and spend the night there before and after the hunt.
