Brown Bear
Hunt BR64
ALASKA
CHICHAGOF ISLAND
BROWN BEAR $13,500
NEXT OPENING IS 2014
This outfitter only takes one spring brown bear hunter
each year and he personally guides him. Spring of 2012 his hunter
scored on a nice boar and in 2011 longtime HCU hunter, Floyd Stambaugh
took an 8 and a half foot brownie on this hunt. Floyd said it was
his most memorable hunt and has rebooked with this outfitter for a 2013
fall interior grizzly/caribou combo hunt.
Spring of 2010 his hunter saw over 30 bears before
pulling the trigger on a nice 9-footer on day 5. Bear sightings
were higher than normal and the action was non-stop. In 2009 his
hunter took a very dark old 9-foot boar that they had seen the three
previous springs. Over the past 16 years 14 hunters scored on nice
boars.
Hunters fly into Juneau,
where they are met by their outfitter/guide, and then take a charter
flight, PAID FOR BY THE OUTFITTER, to their hunting grounds on Chichagof
Island in southeast Alaska.
10 days with 8 hunting days is $13,500 guided 1x1 from May 11 to 20.
Tent camp accommodations and normally the hunter and guide travel by
zodiac and glass shorelines. Next available opening is May 2014.
