This outfitter runs pronghorn and mule deer hunts on a 20,000-acre ranch located between Laramie and Wheatland.  The ranch also has most of the dark timber on the mountain within its boundaries, keeping elk numbers high and quality is excellent.  Most elk are found near 6,500 feet elevation with very good road access.  Last year the area suffered the worst early snowstorm in over 75 years, basically preventing his 2 hunters to get on the mountain.  One hunter stayed a additional day and tagged a 300 plus bull, but the other hunter had to leave.  Over the 4 previous years they have taken 5 elk hunters and all were successful on bulls gross scoring from 336 to 365.  It is a draw and you will need maximum points of 4 to have a good chance.  4-day 1x1 hunt is priced at only $3,500 plus a $5,000 trophy fee.  Hunt takes place about October 7 to 10 with airport pickup in Cheyenne.  Draw deadline is January 31.
