ELK HUNT
100%
OPPORTUNITY
GUN OR BOW
This outfitter has exclusive guiding and outfitting rights to over 4
million acres with a very high elk density.
Opportunity
continues at 100% and archers accounted for 6 bulls out of the 30 plus
taken in 2010 and a few passed on broken bulls late in the season.
Bulls average in the 280 to 290 class and the best bull taken last fall
scored 311. Quite a few hunters will combine elk with moose or
goat and this is a very high success combination.
10-day hunt guided 1x1 is $10,500 and additional
animals can be taken on a $3,500 trophy fee basis. This is
primarily a spike camp operation with 2 hunters and guides per camp.
He also offers a 5-day archery hunt for $6,000 guided 2x1 in October.
This hunt is mainly out of base camp when more elk are migrating into
the area. Archers do not have to conform to the 6-point minimum.
Hunters fly into Fort Nelson
and charter to base camp for about $1,200 roundtrip or $1,500 to some
more remote outpost camps plus 6% HST tax. THIS OUTFITTER ALSO OFFERS
YOUTH PRICES FOR 18 AND UNDER WITH AN ADULT ON A 2X1 BASIS FOR ONLY A
$3,500 TROPHY FEE.
