BRITISH COLUMBIA ELK HUNTS
We work with 2 B.C. outfits that offer high success elk hunts in late August into September during the rut.  Both outfits were down for 2009 due to weather related problems. 

The first outfitter takes some monster bulls, with the average in the 320 to 330 class.  He only takes 4 hunters on this premier 10-day hunt September 1 to 10 priced at $11,900 plus 7% GST.  A moose or goat can be added on a $3,500 trophy fee.  Half of his elk area has just been opened up to hunt.  We expect some monster bulls to be tagged in the next few years.  Nice base camp accommodations with a very well organized operation.  HCU’s Cliff Graham took his stone sheep with this outfitter and upon returning to base camp he would see 70 to 80 head of elk just outside his cabin every evening.  Next opening 2011.        

Hunters arrive and overnight in Whitehorse.  Taxi to Watson Lake and roundtrip charter to camp has been $1,475 per hunter.
