This preserve has over 1,000 acres under high fence where
they conduct elk and whitetail hunts in the mountains near DuBois.
They operate out of a very nice rustic lodge with private bedrooms and
baths. 3-day hunts are the norm and they will give you 4 to 6 days
for groups of 4 or more. Here is a great opportunity to harvest a
nice bull and bring home some good elk meat without airplane
complications.
Elk gross scoring up to 300 inches are priced at $4,000, 300 to 320 is $4,500, 321 to 340 is $5,000, 341 to 360 is $5,500, 361 to 380 is $7,000, 381 to 399 is $8,000 and 400 to 420 is $10,000.
Cow elk are also available for $1,000. Elk hunts are August 25 to December 1 and deer is September 25 to January 1. Hunting methods include treestands, blinds and spot and stalk. Pheasants can be added to any big game hunt. Airport shuttle $100.
