Sugarite is made up of 2 adjoining ranches totaling 10,000 acres near Trinidad.  He typically takes only 4 hunters per year on this property and success has been 100% on bulls grossing over 300 inches and quite often a bull is taken each year scoring in the 340 to 350 class.  This does not have to be a physical hunt and the property is made up of mostly plateaus, canyons and aspen.  First gun hunt is October 16-20 and the second hunt is October 23 to 27.  He normally takes 2 hunters on each hunt. 

     They took 6 archery elk hunters in 2011 and they scored on 4 bulls ranging in size from 280 to 320 Pope and Young.

     Last fall they took 4 mule deer hunters on this property and they tagged 4 bucks, including 2 in the 180’s and 2 in the mid-170’s.  In 2010 they took 2 deer hunters and they scored on a 186 and 170.  In 2009 a monster 240-inch buck was taken on the property. Hunt EKS933.
