Hunt MS94

HIGH SUCCESS INEXPENSIVE
$4600 NEWFOUNDLAND MOOSE HUNT

This outfitter has several camps located in different parts of the island allowing them to take quite a few hunters. In 2013 they hosted 76 hunters taking 70 bulls and a couple meat cows.  The best bulls came in with 45 to 52-inch spreads and overall they averaged close to 40 inches.  6-day hunt guided 1x1 from mid-September to late October is $4,600 plus $400 for license and 6.5% HST tax. Most camps have cabin accommodations with electricity, shower, and wood heat. Many camps require a helicopter flight or float plane to reach and this is included in the price. Hunters may be required to spike camp. Black bear can be taken on a $500 kill fee plus $120 license.

6-day TROPHY moose hunts are priced at $5,700 and INCLUDE the $400 moose license and they typically put you into a little better area.  They also offer a 10-day TROPHY moose hunt at $6,700 and this INCLUDES moose and bear licenses, bear can be taken on a $500 trophy fee.  Hunters may have to pay for a taxi from Deer Lake airport. HCU agent, Bob Wodzisz and his wife Shoshana, hunted with this outfit again in 2013. Hunt MS94.
