$4600 NEWFOUNDLAND MOOSE HUNT
This hunt continues to be 90 percent success on bulls. Last fall over the course of the year they had 70 hunters scattered over 6 main camps and many spike camps, along the western and southern portions of the island. They scored on 63 bulls averaging 40 inches and the top 3 bulls went over 50 inches.

6-day hunt guided 1x1 from mid-September to late October is $4,600 plus $400 for license and 6% GST tax. Most camps have cabin accommodations with electricity, shower, and wood heat. Many camps require a helicopter flight to reach and this is included in the price. Hunters may be required to spike camp during hunt. Black bear can be taken on a $500 kill fee plus $120 license.

They also offer a 6-day trophy moose hunt that costs more, but puts you into typically a better area for $5,700 and this includes a bear license or a 10-day trophy moose hunt is $6,700. 6-day trophy moose/caribou hunt is $9,800 or a 10-day combination moose/caribou/black bear is $11,500.

Hunters may have to pay for a taxi from Deer Lake airport.
