Hunt ML292

ARGUABLY THE BEST LYNX
HUNT IN NORTH AMERICA

Typically a lynx hunt is very low success, but not for this outfitter.  Over the past 6 years he has taken 34 lynx for 38 hunters, along with quite a few bobcats.  He is located in prime lynx, cougar and bobcat habitat in southern British Columbia just north of the state of Washington.  Lynx populations are very predictable according to their cycle and they are currently at an all-time high.

His mountain lion hunts are also very successful, as well as being known to produce some big toms.  Last winter his 9 hunters took 5 toms and 3 females.  He normally harvests more toms, but he wanted to take some old females out of his bighorn sheep area and he had the hunters willing to assist.

He starts November 15, mainly for lynx and gets going on the cougars about December 8.  7-day hunts are $6,000 for lynx, $7,500 for cougar or $9,000 for a combination lynx/cougar/bobcat, plus 6% HST tax.  Hunters stay in the guest cabin by the house and are picked up in Penticton.

Jason Hathaway wanted a big lynx and boy did he get one. He went with probably the best lynx outfitter in British Columbia and scored the last day on Hunt ML292.
