RIFLE MULE DEER RUT HUNTS
This outfit has 2 ranches totaling 120,000 acres in the Ranching for Wildlife Program southeast of Craig. This program allows hunting during the rut with guaranteed tags. They hunt the higher elevations by horseback or foot and low sage country by trucks. Success typically runs about 100% and they start late October and run to December 10. We like early to mid-November for good rut activity. Success runs near 100% on bucks averaging in the 170’s and typically several bucks are taken each year in the 180’s and the occasional 190 plus buck.
5-day trophy hunts guided 2x1 are priced at $5,700. Mule deer/pronghorn combos can be arranged in late October. Very nice ranch house accommodations and family style meals include airport pickup in Hayden. 2013 openings, guaranteed tag, no draw.
