The winter of 2007/2008 hurt a lot of the west and it showed during the 2008 seasons.  The average buck taken on this ranch past years has gross scored over 180 inches.  The area is known to rebound quickly and it already has with the average buck taken in 2009 grossing 178 inches and they only took 5 bucks off the 20,000 acres. 

The ranch is in the CWMU program allowing them to set their own hunting schedule.  First hunts start September 1 when the bucks are in bachelor groups and full velvet.  5 hunting days guided 1x1 with cabin accommodations was $5,500, but they have cut the price to $4,500 plus license and tax.  They will take 4 hunters for the first week of the season only.  HCU customers have taken some great bucks on this ranch scoring up to 220 Boone and Crockett points.  Airport pickup in Grand Junction.
