WHITETAIL HUNT
This hunt typically runs
100% success on nice
Nebraska
whitetails gross scoring in the 140-class and up to 170. The hunt
was just getting under way at press time so we don’t have the 2011
stats. In 2010 he had 5 hunters take 4 bucks, a 171 4x4 with a
couple kickers (last year’s shed scored 155), 145, 140 and another 5x5.
The unsuccessful hunter passed on 3 very good bucks.
This outfitter/rancher owns 3,000 private-acres along the
Niobrara River and he normally only takes about 5
hunters on this 5-day mid-November rifle rut hunt for $3,750. Nice bed
and breakfast accommodations on the ranch, meals and guide service
included. 6-day archery trespass fees in October are $2,500 and hunters
take care of their own lodging and meals. He usually only takes one or
two bowhunters per year and success has been 100% in past years.
Hunters fly into Rapid City
and rent a car. Space is very limited due to repeat bookings.
