WHITETAIL AND ELK PRESERVE

This preserve has over 1,000 acres under high fence where they conduct whitetail and elk hunts in the mountains near DuBois.  They operate out of a very nice rustic lodge with private bedrooms and baths.  3-day hunts are the norm and they will give you 4 to 6 days for groups of 4 or more.

Whitetails taken that gross score up to 140 inches are priced at $3,000, 141 to 159 is $4,000, 160 to 179 is $6000 and 180 to 199 is $8,000.  Elk scoring up to 300 inches are $4,000, 330 inches $5,000 and 350 inches $6000.  Cow elk hunts are $1,200.  Season dates are typically September 25 to January 1.  Hunting methods include treestands, blinds and spot and stalk.  Pheasants can be added to any big game hunt.  Airport shuttle $100.
