OSCEOLA GOBBLERS, GATORS AND HOGS
We work with 2
Florida
outfitters that have been traditionally 100 percent success past years
on everything. We have hunted with both of them and all of our
customers have given them top ratings. It can sometimes be
difficult to secure an opening since their repeat business is very high.
This outfitter is located only 40 miles south of Orlando and this hunt is easily combined with
a family vacation at Disney. He offers turkey hunts from March 18
to April 23 priced at $2,000 for 3 days on 25,000 private acres and you
can add a hog for $200. Success has run 95% with 100% opportunity
on mature gobblers. This hunt is in high demand so book early or
expect to book at least a year in advance.
Hog hunts are $250 for the first day and $100 per
additional day with kill fees of $100 for a meat hog and $150 for trophy
boars. You can sit at blinds, spot and stalk or use hounds.
Gator hunting is a very fun and exciting sport. It can
be done with the use of airboats at night with archery gear or spears.
Rifles and a swamp buggy are used mostly in the day. Gators up to
9-foot are priced at $100 per foot plus a 2-day package of $350 and
trophy gators from 9 to 12 feet are $3,200. This outfitter is an
accomplished archer and offers all his hunts with either bow or gun.

top Osceola outfitter located near Okeechobee offers his 4-day turkey
hunt for $2,500 and you can take one hog at no cost as long as you take
the meat home. They have a real nice operation with very
comfortable cabins in a great setting in the woods.
They normally harvest 30 to 35 long beards every
spring and if you cripple a bird and do not find it your hunt is over.
Hog hunting package for 3 days and 3 nights is $720
and includes two hogs, additional hogs are $175.
Gator hunts on 8 to 9 foot gators are $1,500, 9 to
10 foot $2,500, 10 to 11 foot $3,500, 11 to 12 foot $4,500, over 12 foot
$5,500, plus $250 for lodging and meals. Gator and hog combos make
a great trip.
He also offers several packages, such as a 2 1/2-day
hog hunt and fishing trip or a hog/gator/bass combo that includes a
trophy boar, gator under 8 feet and fishing. Nice lodge accommodations
and hunters fly into Orlando
or Ft. Meyers and rent a car. Hunt

TEXAS
RIO GRANDE
GOBBLERS
2 BIRDS FOR ONLY $1250
INCLUDES AIRPORT PICKUP
Success continues to be 100% on this bargain priced
Rio Grande
hunt. $1,250 INCLUDES 2 gobblers, nice lodging, meals, guiding and
AIRPORT PICKUP! The outfitter operates on a nice private ranch about 40
miles south of San Angelo.
He offers three 2 1/2-day full service hunts starting the first weekend
of April and goes to the end of the month. Hunters can choose their own
style of hunting and have a choice of utilizing a guide or hunting on
their own. Some hunters prefer to just hike and call, commonly referred
to as run and gun, while others would rather hunt over feeders or water
areas as the birds will visit these places daily. The outfitter knows
the roost sites and can direct you to an area that holds birds. The
spring of 2012 and 2010 produced a fantastic hatch and bird numbers are
high with plenty of mature gobblers available for the spring of 2013,
considering he only took 11 hunters in 2012. This outfitter hunts his
property very lightly and only took 5 hunters in 2011, so be prepared
for plenty of action. If you are serious about a
Rio hunt plan it for spring of 2013, you won’t be
disappointed. Hunters are picked up in San Angelo.

KANSAS
RIO’S AND
EASTERNS
ONLY $900 FOR 2 BIRDS
We have worked with these same 2
Kansas
outfitters for the last 10 years and they have properties with very high
numbers of birds. Their private ranches have both
Rio’s and Easterns. Now we are adding a third outfit
due to the low price and good bird numbers. These
Kansas
birds are very vocal and extremely callable. Success has always
been extremely high on these hunts. HCU consultants Bob Wodzisz and
Cliff Graham have been on two of the properties.
One of our Kansas outfitters hosted 14 hunters last
spring and they took 24 gobblers. 3-day full service hunt for $1,000
includes accommodations, cable TV and airport pickup. Hunters fly into Kansas City or
Manhattan
where they are picked up. He normally runs 3 hunts from April 9 to May
5.

DO-IT-YOURSELF
TURKEY
HUNTS
KANSAS
OR NEBRASKA
ONLY $600
HCU works with a couple outfitters and ranchers
that offer trespass fee spring gobbler hunts in both
Nebraska and Kansas. These are
for the turkey hunter that prefers to hunt on his own and do his own
calling. The properties have high numbers of birds and past
success has typically been near 100%, with the exception of any extreme
weather conditions.
This northwest Nebraska rancher/outfitter will allow
you to hunt 4 days on his private property for two Merriam gobblers for
only $600, with the option to take a third gobbler for only $100.
Success has continued to be 100% and all HCU customers have been very
satisfied and have taken many mature toms. Hunters stay at a local
motel and eat in restaurants at their own expense. An effective way to
hunt this big country is glassing and locating birds and then hiking to
them. He normally only takes about 6 to 8 hunters total per year on his
4,000 private-acres. The area is known as Pine Ridge country and has
big ponderosa pines and canyons making this a very beautiful area to
hunt turkeys. Hunts run from about April 15 to May 20 and early hunts
could be cold. HCU’s Bob Wodzisz has been on this property.

We work with another Merriam outfitter in central
Nebraska along the North Platte River.
He is priced at $600 for 2 birds and has over 9,000 private-acres.
Depending on the date you choose he may have a cabin available for
lodging at a very minimal cost, but you will need a group of 4 or more
to secure this price. He runs fully outfitted hunts for $995 that
includes lodging and meals and you can add a calling guide for $300.

local motel and do your own restaurant meals. This property has both
Eastern and Rio turkeys. Properties are just outside Manhattan in northeastern Kansas. HCU consultants Bob Wodzisz and

SASKATCHEWAN
GEESE/DUCKS
This outfitter operates in central
Saskatchewan
near the famous Quill

then back out for more geese or ducks either in one of the many nearby
swamps or field shoot some mallards. Ducks can include redheads,
canvasbacks, green and blue winged teal, shouvlers, widgeons, pintails
and gadwalls. They use over 350 full body snow and blue geese
decoys, along with some Canadian greater and lesser decoys.
Daily limits of up to 20 geese and 8 ducks per day,
along with some sandhill cranes keeps your day interesting. Hunts are
normally conducted late September and early October and packages are
